the study does not need to be conducted because the stability of the substance is not considered to be critical

Description of key information

Testing not necessarry.

Additional information

According to REACH Regulation, Annex XI the study scientifically unjustified Justification: Testing of stability in organic solvents is considered scientifically unjustified, as outlined in Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment Chapter R 7a, only in rare occasions it is important to have information on the stability of a compound in an organic solvent, to ensure confidence in the test results. However, for many substances, the stability in organic solvents will not be critical and testing need not be conducted. For Guanidinium nitrate the stability in organic solvent is not considered to be critical, therefore further testing is scientifically unjustified and according to REACH VO (Annex XI) a study on stability in organic solvents does not need to be conducted.
