Additional information

The test substance is readily biodegradable and adsorption to soil and sediment is expected to be low. Due to the ionic nature of the substance, volatilization from the aqueous phase is also not expected. Modelling environmental partitioning based on fugacity models (e. g. Mackay level I-III) does not seem to be appropriate for surfactants (SIDS, 2007), the calculated data may not be a realistic reflection of the constants, since surface active properties are not taken into account by the model. The results underline that the target compartment for the test substance is the hydrosphere.
