Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The adsorption/desorption coefficients of this complex reaction product were calculated according to Gerstl (1990), Briggs (1981) and Nendza (1998) based on the experimental values of n-octanol/water partition coefficient.

A range of adsorption/desorption coefficient values was obtained: 1.53 to 2.37, 76.2% of the components have Log Koc ranged from 1.80 to 2.06.

The components with log Koc values between 1.80 and 2.06 being the most abundant (76.2%), the highest log Koc value (2.06) in this range was used for chemical safety assessment (CSA) and for the derivation of Predicted No-Effect Concentrations (PNEC) in sediments and soil. This value was considered as a worst-case value, increase of adsorption/desorption coefficient value leading to a significant increase of the PEC soil value.
