Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The 48 h LC50 of Ethytriglycol methacrylate in freshwater fish (Leuciscus idus (Golden orfe)) was 406 mg/L according to DIN 38412 part 15, static conditions (Hüls AG, 1987 for Evonik Röhm) .

Additional information

One acute freshwater study in fish is available for Ethyltriglycol methacrylate, which is considered reliable with restriction (Klimisch score 2).

In a 48-h acute toxicity study, Leuciscus idus (Golden orfe) were exposed to Ethyltriglycol methacrylate

under static conditions according to DIN 38412 part 15 (similar to OECD 203). The 48-h LC50 was 406 mg/L (95% CL (confidence limit): 230 - 715 mg/L, based on mortality). The 48 -h NOEC was 300 mg/L (based on mortality) (Hüls AG, 1987 for
Evonik Röhm). While shorter in exposure duration than a standard fish toxicity study the available information indicated that there is no significant toxicity to fish and a new 96 h test is not justified because no relevant toxicity is expected.
