Additional information

Toxicity to soil macroorganisms except arthropods :

Toxicity to soil macroorganism Eisenia fetida by tert-butyl-4-methoxyphenol for 48 hr was estimated as LC50 corresponding to 246.9078 mg/kg soil dw on the basis of mortality. Thus, tert-butyl-4-methoxyphenol can be assumed to be non toxic to soil macro-organisms.

Toxicity to terrestrial arthropods :

Toxicity to soil arthropoda (Ostrinia nubilalis) by tert-butyl-4-methoxyphenol for a 6 day study period predicted a lethal concentration that resulted in the mortality of 50% of the test organisms at a dose concentration of 13.806 mg/kg soil dw.

Toxicity to terrestrial plants :

The predicted EC50 value of Tert-butyl-4-methoxyphenol on terrestrial toxicity to plant (Lactuca sativa) for 72 hrs was estimated to be 47.53 mg/kg soil dw on the basis of effect on reproduction.

Toxicity to soil microorganisms :

Tert-butyl-4-methoxyphenol examined for terrestrial toxicity to soil microorganisms (Fusarium verticillioides) for 48 hrs. at a dose concentration NOEC : 0.1862595 mg/kg soil dw.
