Results and discussion
Any other information on results incl. tables
None of the animals exhibited any colinergic signs or symptoms.
No significant effects at 363 mg/m3(6h) and 757 mg/m3(4 h)
significant effect at 757 mg/m3 (2h) but with questionable biological
relevance
The mice were observed for signs of cholinergic toxicity and blood chloinesterase was measured at termination but were considered not valid because controls did not appear to have been sham exposed.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Interpretation of results:
- other: practically nontoxic
- Remarks:
- expert judgment
- Conclusions:
- No overt signs of toxicity; Cholinesterase determinations not considered valid as controls did not appear sham exposed.
- Executive summary:
In an acute inhalation study, mice were exposed to TPP vapour in a battery jar following generation of the vapour by flowing preheated air through molten TPP at 175 -180 deg C. Observation period was 24 hours. The mice were observed for signs of cholinergic toxicity and blood cholinesterase was measured at termination. No overt signs of toxicity; cholinesterase determinations not considered valid because the controls did not appear to be sham exposed.
