biodegradation in water: simulation testing on ultimate degradation in surface water
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
Transformation products:
not specified

Description of key information

In accordance with REACH Annex XI section 2, biodegradability testing is not required as the substance is inorganic and hence biotic degradation cannot occur. Testing for these endpoints has been omitted on the basis that testing is not technically feasible. In addition direct and indirect exposure to the sediment and water is unlikely.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life in freshwater:
9.5 d
at the temperature of:
20 °C
Half-life in freshwater sediment:
1 d
at the temperature of:
20 °C
