Description of key information

Water flea (D. magna): 48-h EC50 = 44 mg/L (similar to OECD 202; Bringmann & Kühn, 1959)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Fresh water invertebrates

Fresh water invertebrates
Effect concentration:
44 mg/L

Additional information

The acute toxicity to aquatic invertebrates was determined in a 48-h acute toxicity test (static, no analytical verification of test item concentrations; Bringmann & Kühn, 1959). The EC50 was 44 mg/L. This effect value is supported by the estimated value from ECOSAR v1.00: 48 -h LC50 = 41 mg/L (ECT, 2009).
