Tests on the chronic toxicity in fish is not deemed necessary

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In Annex IX of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, it is laid down that chronic tests shall be proposed by the registrant if the chemical safety assessment indicates the need to investigate further the effects on fish.

In the exposure assessment in chapter 9 and 10 of the attached CSR it is clearly stated that the substance does not pose any threat to the environmental compartments under the current conditions of its use. Hence, further testing is not deemed necessary. Furthermore, the substance is highly volatile. Hence, the substance will not be present in relevant concentration for a longer period in water bodies to establish chronic exposure to organisms.

Therefore, and for reasons of animal welfare a chronic test with fish is not provided.
