Description of key information

Aquatic bioaccumulation

Experimental results from a study on bioaccumulation performed with structural analogues conclusively show that the substances comprised by the Diarylide Yellow Pigments are not bioaccumulative. In the study concentrations in fish were lower than the limit of detection. Thus, the determined bioaccumulation factors are upper limits representing the detection limits of the analytical methods. This is expected as the log Pow of the substance is low and insoluble in water as well as organic solvents / fat.
