Description of key information

- Flammability is not applicable upon ignition

- No pyrophoric properties

- Does not liberate flammable gases on contact with water

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
not classified

Additional information

-The flammability of a liquid is derived from flash point and was determined to be 107°C, closed cup.

- Based on chemical structure and experience in handling and use of substance the pyrophoric properties and the flammability in contact with water are not to be expected.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Self-classification according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on CLP:

- The flammability of a liquid is derived from flash point (and boiling point) and was determined to be 107°C.

- Based on chemical structure and experience in handling and use of substance the pyrophoric properties and the flammability in contact with water are not to be expected.

It can be concluded that the substance should not be classified as a flammable material and further the substance does not need to be classified as self-heating substance under the UN-GHS as the substance is a liquid.
