Description of key information

Diethylenetriamine was rapidly and fully biodegraded to CO2 in two soils having no prior exposure to the substance. The half-life for ultimate biodegradation of the substance in surface soil (aerobic) is conservatively estimated at 30 days.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life in soil:
30 d
at the temperature of:
293 K
