Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

A measured BCF is not available for any streams in this category. As the log Kow of some category members is >3 the bioaccumulation endpoint cannot be waived. However, ECHA's Guidance on Information Requirements and Chemical Safety Assessment R7c Endpoint Specific Guidance (2008) indicates that before commissioning a new vertebrate test alternative sources of data on the bioaccumulation potential of a chemical should used.

Representative components on these streams were identified from the compositional data. The representative components are presented in Section 2.3. The bioaccumulation potential of these substances was compared to the PBT screening criteria for Bioaccumulation in the PBT assessment. For some constituents, experimental data is available or data is reported by the registrants in their dossier.

The predicted log BCFs for the representative components in this category range from 0.68 to 5.01 and the mean is 3.05.

The streams in this category are not considered to be bioaccumulative on the basis of the PBT assessment of representative components.
