Additional information

An OECD 202 Daphnia magna acute immobilisation was conducted for the test substance sodium isobutyrate solution. Daphnia neonates were exposed to the test substance at nominal concentrations of 27, 54, 108, 216, 433, and 865 mg/L. The test was static with an exposure duration of 48 hours at a temperature of 20.5 ± 1oC and a light rhythm of 16 hours light: 8 hours darkness.

Measured concentrations were found to be within ± 20% of nominal values. The 48 -hour NOEC was determined to be 216 mg/L and the 48 -hour EC50was calculated to be 540 mg/L.
