Description of key information

The dissociation constants pKa of the main components of Resin 835A were calculated. The pKa is 5.1 for dehydroabietic acid and also for dihydroabietic acid.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

pKa at 20°C:
5.1

Additional information

The dissociation constants pKa of the main components of Resin 835A, i.e. the dehydroabietic acid and the dihydroabietic acid, were calculated using the Pallas pKa prediction module 5.1, v.3.7.1.1. The pKa is 5.1 for dehydroabietic acid and also for dihydroabietic acid and pKa of 5.1 is therefore taken as the pKa of the substance Resin 835A .
