Description of key information

Ethylene oxide will slowly evaporate from the water surface into the atmosphere.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Henry's law constant (H) (in Pa m³/mol):
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

Using SRC HENRYWIN v3.20 for the calculation of the Henry's law constant (HLC) resulted in a value of 12.2 Pa*m3/mol at 25 °C (BASF AG, 2012). An experimentally determined value provided by Conway and co-workers (1983) is presented in the experimental database of EPISuite which refers to a HLC of 15 Pa*m3/mol.
