Additional information

Ethylene oxide slowly photodegrades in air by reaction with light induced OH-radicals. The half-life for the indirect photodegradation was calculated to be 57 days using SRC AOP v1.92 (BASF AG, 2012). At 25 °C and pH 7.4, the half-life of ethylene oxide hydrolyses slowly with a half-life of 12.2 days (Conway et al., 1983).
