Description of key information

No effects were reported from a 96h semi-static test with the marine water fish Scophthalmus maxima after exposure to DHX2 at a maximum concentration of 10000 mg/L and performed in accordance with OSPARCOM (1995)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Key value for chemical safety assessment: LC50 > 10000 mg/L

In the key study (reliable with restrictions), the marine water fish Scophthalmus maxima was exposed to

1000 - 10000 mg DHX2/L following a 96h semi-static test design in accordance with OSPARCOM (1995). Analytical verification of test concentrations was lacking as well as information on test substance purity. Solubility in marine water was not confirmed at levels > 1000 mg/L. No effects were reported upto and including the highest test concentration.
