Results and discussion
- Results:
- Results: At present DEA is produced in one production plant and is further processed within 8 other operations and plants at the BASF SE.
The results of the 53 measurements are summarized as follows:
Overall Range of values: < 0.019 to 0.062 mg/m3
Medium value: 0.011 mg/m3
50% percentile: 0.003 mg/m3
90% percentile: 0.035 mg/m3
95% percentile: 0.051 mg/m3
Highest value for production plant: 0.026 mg/m3
Highest value at filling station: 0.062 mg/m3
No detailed differentiation was considered necessary since all measured values were far below the MAK-value and about 90 % of all recorded values were below limits of detection.
Precautions taken at the production plant:
DEA is handled in technically closed processes at all plants and operations. Short-term tasks showing in general a potential for exposure are limited to sample taking, analytical work, filter changes or filling operations. Direct skin contact is avoided by protective gloves (nitrile rubber or PVC).
Any other information on results incl. tables
