Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

To determine the toxicity of diethylene glycol on fish numerous studies were performed. In the majority of the tests no effects were observed, even at concentrations higher than 100 mg/L. The LC50 (96h) was calculated to be 75200 mg/L diethylene glycol in a flow-through study with Fathead minnow (Pimephales promelas) (Geiger et al., 1990). The described key study is representative.
