Reference
Endpoint:
bioaccumulation in aquatic species: fish
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance has a low potential for bioaccumulation based on log Kow <=3

Description of key information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex IX, Cyanoguanidine has a log octanol-water partition coefficient of -1.0, is highly water-soluble, and is unlikely, due to its polar nature and pKa (10.56), to be taken up by fish gills or across other biological membranes.

Therefore, there is no need to perform a (fish) bioaccumulation study.
