Expiration date: February 01, 2011
Storage: At room temperature at about 20 °C in a desiccator. - Test procedure:
- burning rate test: preliminary screening test
- Remarks:
- FAT 40826/A could not be ignited with a flame during the preliminary test (contact time of about 2 minutes).
- Remarks on result:
- substance does not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period
- Interpretation of results:
- GHS criteria not met
- Conclusions:
- FAT 40826/A is not considered to be highly flammable.
- Executive summary:
In a GLP-compliant study, the determination of the flammability of the test item was performed in accordance with the EEC Directive 92/69, Part A, Methods for the determination of physico-chemical properties, A. 10 "Flammability (solids)", EEC Publication No. L383, December 1992. In contact with the ignition source, FAT 40826/A glowed while the colour of the flame changed to orange. Under the resulting black incrustation unchanged substance remained. FAT 40826/A could not be ignited with a flame during the preliminary test (contact time of about 2 minutes). Therefore, no main test was performed. Based on the study results, FAT 40826/A is not considered to be highly flammable.

Additional information
Furthermore, it was concluded based on the molecular structure that there is no risk with respect to pyrophoric properties. Based on the study results, FAT 40826/A is not considered to be highly flammable.
Justification for classification or non-classification
The test substance is considered to be not highly flammable, hence it does not warrant classification according to the EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
