Description of key information

The results of a bioaccumulation study with Cyprinus carpio according to OECD 305 show the following results:

BCF: 2.5 - 6.4 at 500 µg/L

BCF: <13 at 50 µg/L

Key value for chemical safety assessment

BCF (aquatic species):
13 dimensionless

Additional information

The bioconcentration of 1,1 -dichloroethene was studied in common carp (Cyprinus carpio) under flow-through conditions for 6 weeks according to OECD 305 and GLP. The bioconcentration factor was respectively 2.5-6.4 and <13 for 500 and 50 µg/L test concentration and it is therefore concluded that 1,1 -dichloroethene has a low potential for bioaccumulation.
