Description of key information

The EC50 of activated sludge exceeded the highest test concentration of 1000 mg/L after an incubation time of 3 h

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for microorganisms:
1 000 mg/L

Additional information

The toxicity of triallyl cyanurat towards activated sludge was investigated in an OECD 209 Guideline test which was performed in compliance with GLP. A further study was conducted according to the national test method DEV L3* resulting in an EC40 of ca. 25 mg/L (Evonik Degussa GmbH, 1984). In this test, the test material was not completely dissolved and the filtrate was used for the test without any analytical verification of the test concentrations. Due to the non-standard test method and the nonspecific concentrations tested, the test conducted according to OECD Guideline 209 was set as key study.
