Additional information

The test substance is a red-brown powder. The substance did not melt or boil under the conditions of the test. The calculated boiling point was 877 °C. Because the substance is solid at room temperature, the flash point could be waived. The density at 19.6 °C is 1761 kg/m³ with a mass median diameter of 3.9 µm and the particle size distribution in a range from approximately 0.3 µm to 40 µm. The vapour pressure was estimated to be: 2.19E-31 Pa based on the calculated boiling points by using the Modified Watson Correlation. The calculated partition coefficient between n-octanol and aqueous phase is: log Pow: <-5.5. The water solubility of the test substance is >339.7 g/L at 20 °C and the surface tension of aqueous solution at 20.8 °C was determined to be 69.8 mN/m at a concentration of 0.1 %. The auto-flammability temperature was 286 °C and the test substance is considered not to be highly flammable. The test substance is not explosive, has no oxidizing properties, but dissociates in water. Classification of the test substance is not needed according to the Directive 67/584/EEC and according to the EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
