Additional information
Styrene contains no hydrolysable groups (Howard et al., 1991). In addition, in column 2 of REACH Annex VIII, the hydrolysis study does not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable. Styrene is readily biodegradable. Therefore, hydrolysis testing is not required.
