Additional information

The study by Blum and Speece (1991) does not follow standard guidelines with higher temperature and longer exposure than standard test conditions, and no positive controls. Most importantly, the tested concentrations, raw results and methods of data analysis are not reported. However, this study was used as the key study for this endpoint in the EU RAR for Toluene (2003) as it was the most conservative result reported. It is therefore considered suitable for use as a conservative key study here.
