Additional information

For potassium sulphate a key study showed a 48 hour LC50 of 720 mg/L in Daphnia magna exposed to 500, 1000, 1250, 1500, 2000, 2500, 5000 and 10000 mg/L and performed according to EPA guidelines. Daphnids were fed once at test initiation, this may have affected the outcome of the study, but potassium sulphate is still expected to have an EC50 >>100 mg/L. Analytical monitoring was performed. A supporting but old less documented study showed a higher LC50 also in Daphnia magna.
