Soil biodegradation studies are not possible. Due to the high concentration of calcium ions in SFL and soil, any analytical method would struggle to distinguish between contributions to the analysed solution calcium concentration originating from the test material and that originating from the soils themselves. Furthermore, such studies are not applicable to UVCB substances.
