Description of key information

The dissociation constant of trimethylolpropan was calculated to

be 15.05 (SPARC, 2010). The calculated pKa for TMP is > 10, thus the hydroxy groups of trimethylolpropan do not dissociate under normal environmental conditions (see REACH Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, Chapter R.7.1.17).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

pKa at 20°C:
15
