Abiotic degradation

Abiotic degradation is considered to be of limited relevance for the environmental fate of amides, C8-18 and C18-unsatd., N,N-bis(hydroyethyl) as the substance is readily biodegradable.

Biotic degradation

Amides, C8-18 and C18-unsatd., N,N-bis(hydroxyethyl) is readily biodegradable, as shown in two independent screening studies according to OECD guideline 301. The substance is therefore unlikely to persist in the aquatic or terrestrial environment.
