Description of key information

The estimated hydroxyl radical reaction half life for amides, C8-18 and C18-unsatd., N,N-bis(hydroxyethyl) using AopWin v1.92 (EPIWEB v4.0) was found to be 0.51 days for a 24 hour daylight period, corresponding to a degradation rate constant with OH radicals of 5.54 x 10 -11 cm³/molecule-sec.

The hydroxyl radical reaction half-life value was calculated using the opWin v1.92 program of EPIWEB v 4.0. The calculated t1/2was based on a 24 hour daylight hydroxyl radical concentration of 1.5 × 106molecules (radicals)/cm3and hydroxyl rate constant of 5.54 x 10-11cm3/molecule-sec.
