Signs of intoxication were weight loss (2 -4 days in survivors), increasing weakness, collapse, and death.

Gross autopsy: Decedents: hemorrhagic areas of the lungs, liver discoloration, enlarged gall bladder, darkened kidneys and spleen, and gastrointestinal inflammation. Survivors (14d): Visccera appeared normal.
