Description of key information

The half life of cumene due to photo-degradation in water is reported to be 0.4 -5.1 h. For the chemical safety assessment the worst case DT50 of 5.1 h will be used.

Data on the phototransformation in water of cumene is presented in the EU-RAR (2001) in section 3.1.1.2.1. Cumene is reported to have a DT50 of 0.4-5.1 h by Mill et al. (1980). For the chemical safety assessment the worst case DT50

of 5.1 h will be used.
