It consists of saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbons having carbon numbers in the range of C3 through C6, predominantly piperylenes.

Data are available from the member companies for three of the streams in the C5 non-cyclics category. The data are considered to be reliable and suitable for use for this endpoint. The data will be read across to all category members.
The substances in the C5 non-cyclics category are clear, colourless liquids at standard temperature and pressure, with sweetish or olefinic odors.
