PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

The PBT assessment of the substance is based on the criteria set out in the “Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, Chapter R.11: PBT assessment” (ECHA, 2014).

Persistency assessment

There is one experimental study available investigating the biodegradability of the substance. The study was performed according to the OECD 301 B (GLP). After 28 d the substance had degraded by 70% (CO2 evolution) and met the 10-d window validation criterion for ready biodegradability. Based on the screening criteria, the substance is therefore not considered P/vP.

Bioaccumulation

The substance has a log Kow value of 3.99 (OECD 117). According to the ECHA Guidance R.11 substances with a log Kow of < 4.5 are not considered B/vB.

Toxicity

The substance is classified as toxic for reproduction, category 2 (H361f), according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 and the following amendments (ATPs). In conclusion, the criteria set out in Annex XIII of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 are met and the substance is considered to meet the T criterion..

In conclusion the substance is not PBT/vPvB.
