A QSAR using the Target Lipid Model (TLM) and the Equilibrium Partitioning Model (EqP) reported long-term LL50 and NOELR values for the following terrestrial species: Eisenia fetida, Folsomia candida, Avenia sativa and Brassica rapa.

The substance has been shown to possess a measured 2-day LC50 in terrestrial arthropods of 11.8 g/L in diet and a measured 3-day IC50 (germination) in terrestrial plants of 2104 mg/kg. This substance is not considered to be toxic to terrestrial arthropods. The study on terrestrial plants did not investigate any monocotyledon species and with only one dicotyledon species reported, it is difficult to establish an effect level that will be representative of the effects of iso-propyl alcohol (IPA) on seedling emergence of higher plants. Additionally, no studies were available for soil macroorganisms or to birds.
