Description of key information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annexes VIII and IX, the adsorption / desorption studies (required in sections 9.3.1 and 9.3.3) do not need to be conducted as the substance is expected to have a low potential for adsorption since it has a low octanol water partition coefficient (log Kow  < 3)  and is readily biodegradable.

A supporting QSAR reported a log Koc value of 0.5413 and a Koc value of 3.478 L/kg for the substance, estimated from Kow.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Koc at 20 °C:
3.478

Additional information

The adsorption coefficient (log Koc) was estimated by two QSAR models:

- KOCWIN v2.00 in EPI suite (v4.0) - MCI method using log Kow

- KOCWIN v2.00 in EPI suite (v4.0) - log Kow method

The value calculated from Kow is more conservative therefore it has been selected for chemical safety assessment.
