Description of key information

Photodegradation in water is not relevant because it dissociates quickly into ions, is not susceptible to photolysis and decomposes in water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Sulfite compounds rapidly ionise in water to sodium, potassum etc. ions, and due to their chemical properties, photodegradation can be excluded. Therefore photodegradation in water is not relevant.
