Materials and methods

Principles of method if other than guideline:
50 µl of the test substance was applied to the conjunctival sac of 2 white Vienna rabbits and not rinsed off. The animals were 1 and 3 h after instillation and on day 1,2, 3, 4 and 8. Eye reactions were recorded and graded similar to the Draize scheme of the OECD test guideline 405.
