Description of key information

Sodium dichromate is a reddish to bright orange deliquescent crystalline solid which usually exists in its di-hydrated state. The substance becomes anhydrous at around 100°C, melts at approximately 357°C and decomposes above 400°C. It is very soluble in water (2355 g/L) and has a relative density of approximately 2.5.

It is a strong oxidising agent. It is neither flammable nor explosive.
