Description of key information

Data waiving:

Reason: Other justification.

Justification: In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VII, a test for ready biodegradability does not need to be conducted, as the substance is inorganic. Further biotic degradation testing is not necessary as long as the Chemical Safety Assessment, conducted according to Annex I, does not indicate that it is required. The process of biodegradation is not a relevant fate pathway for inorganic tungsten compounds such as tungsten trioxide.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
