Description of key information

No toxicity within the range of water solubility was reported for Daphnia magna (21d-EC50, 21d-NOEC > 0.0056 mg/L)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The chronic toxicity of Amides, C16-C18 (even), N,N'-ethylenebis to Daphnia magna was investigated in one study from the Japanese Ministry of Environment (MOE, 2005). This study was conducted according to OECD Guideline No. 211. After 21-days of exposure to the test substance no effects on reproduction were reported, up to the highest attainable concentration (0.0056 mg/L, limit of solubility). Therefore, the 21-d EC50 and NOEC were greater than 0.0056 mg/L and no toxicity within the range of water solubility was observed.
