PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

P/vP

Weight of evidence shows that ADCA is not readily biodegradable, therefore it is not possible to exclude the possibility of persistence based on screening data. The longest hydrolytic half life time is 47 days at 25°C indicating that ADCA is persistent but not very persistent.

B/vB

The log10 Kow is less than 1.0, therefore it can be concluded that ADCA is not bioaccumulative.

T

The NOEC in a Daphnia Magna Reproduction study is greater than 0.01 mg/L, the substance is not classified as carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic to reproduction and there is no evidence of chronic toxicity. Therefore it can be concluded the substance is not toxic.
