Additional information

One study on the toxicity of palmitic acid to freshwater fish is available.

The study which, was conducted in 1981, but written together in 2001 by Richterich and Mühlberg, was done according to ISO 7346 part 2. In the semi-static test, seven different concentrations were tested on Danio rerio and led to an LC50 (96h) of >1000 mg/L.

No toxic effects on fish were observed up to the limit of the water solubility of the test substance.
