Additional information

1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (HFC 134a) is a colourless, odourless gas at standard temperature and pressure. It is supplied as a liquefied gas under pressure and is therefore classified under EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures, (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 in Hazard Class 2.5: gas under pressure, with the hazard statement H280: "Contains gas under pressure; may explode if heated." According to Article 58(1) of CLP, Exposure Assessment and Risk Characterisation are not required for Hazard Class 2.5: gas under pressure.
