collected and analyzed for 28 metals including nickel.
Exposure assessment:
measured
Details on exposure:
TYPE OF EXPOSURE: airborne exposure to nickel powders and dusts

TYPE OF EXPOSURE MEASUREMENT: Area air sampling and personal sampling, Ni speciation not conducted.

EXPOSURE LEVELS: 0.004 to 0.29 mg/m3 total Ni

EXPOSURE PERIOD: sample time between 352 and 462 minutes

POSTEXPOSURE PERIOD: none

DESCRIPTION / DELINEATION OF EXPOSURE GROUPS / CATEGORIES: none

Results and discussion

Results:
Ni exposure exceeded the NIOSH recommended exposure limit (0.015 mg/m3)

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Ni concentrations ranged between 0.004 to 0.29 mg/m3 total Ni.
