Data waiving:
other justification
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied
Justification for type of information:
Data waiving
Reason: Study not scientifically necessary.
Justification: No chemical groups present in the molecule associated with oxidising properties.

Description of key information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex IX, the oxidizing properties test does not need to be conducted as the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials, for example based on the chemical structure (inorganic substance not containing oxygen or halogen atoms).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

Tungsten oxide is not classifiable as an oxidiser because is a solid substance and does not have chemical groups which are associated with oxidising properties.
