Description of key information
Performance of a biodegradation simulation test in water and sediment was waived because synthetic amorphous Silicic acid, aluminum sodium salt (CAS 1344-00-9, NAS) is an inorganic substance. Furthermore, silicon dioxide/silicate and aluminum are two of the most abundant materials on Earth´s surface, in fact, silicon is the second most abundant element in the Earth’s crust mass (approx. 28 %) after oxygen, and aluminum is the third most abundant element (approx. 8%).
