Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Predicted No Effect Concentrations (PNECs) for the different environmental compartments are calculated by application of an assessment factor (PNECstp, PNECsediment freshwater and PNECsediment marine water). As no effects have been observed up to the limit doses in the aquatic freshwater studies, no hazard for freshwater organisms, marine water organisms or soil is identified.

The PNECair is not considered as relevant based on the chemical structure and intrinsic properties of the substance. Secondary poisoning of mammals and birds is not expected either. Thus, no PNECoral is derived.

Conclusion on classification

No environmental classification and labelling is required for N,N-dimethylformamide in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP Regulation).
